I am writing to express my appreciation for the personal and attentive service I received when I recently required hair replacement due to hair loss from medication for rheumatoid arthritis. I felt that I was treated with great respect and that there was an unlimited time for me to make my decision.
I was shown all the different choices available to me, and their relative advantages and disadvantages were carefully explained. I felt no pressure to make any particular choice. I did choose a Cyberhair wig. When it arrived, the color was a perfect match for my naturally curly white hair. Lucinda cut and styled the hair to look natural on me and even my closest friends did not know it was not my hair. "I had been living with Trichotillomania for about five years before I ever met Lucinda. I was about 17 years old, and I was terrified that I would never look or feel normal. I was constantly pulling out my hair, and I had a large bald spot that revealed much of my scalp. As a teenager, I just desperately wanted to fit in, and it was near impossible to conceal the destruction of the 'trich monster.' The traditional wigs that I had tried to wear were too bulky and created too much of a difference in my appearance; I always ended up looking like I was wearing a wig. I felt lost and embarrassed and I truly thought that no one could help me. When I heard of Lucinda's, I went there as my last shot -- I was afraid of another disappointment. But upon meeting Lucinda, I quickly discovered that this was a woman who could give a teenager self-esteem. She had more than just wigs: she had hair systems and pieces, and tons of knowledge and know-how. Lucinda was compassionate and kind, and she spent time with me, trying to find and create exactly what I needed. When my hair piece arrived and I put it on for the first time, I remember feeling shocked at how the hair completely blended with my own; no one could tell the difference. I was always my toughest critic, and even I was speechless! That was my first moment of feeling happiness and self-esteem with my appearance. I went to school the next day full of pride and confidence; I could finally fit in. I would like to take this time to Thank everyone for making Lucinda’s such a first-rate place to go for hair. I was so impressed with the quality of service I received as a new client. I wasn’t sure what to expect the day of my consultation, However, when Stephanie explained what she could do with my hair I was blown away. I never in my wildest dream thought I could have luscious, beautiful thick hair. Stephanie completely calmed my nerves, she was professional, creative, personable and confident. At that point I knew my hair was in good hands.

The day of my appointment I was so excited, I could hardly wait. T asked a lot of questions because I thought taking care of hair extensions was going to be a huge, routine changing event. I am happy to report I was wrong, the extensions Stephanie chose for me are light, easy to care for and look and feel like my own hair. Meeting Lucinda was such a personable experience, she was so friendly and nice, at one point offering coffee to everyone in the salon. " I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for all your help and encouragement in creating the "New Me". In the beginning the reservations, questions and concerns were many but you handled all of them with great patience and sincere caring. You put me at ease. The adjustment period was made smooth with all of your help and great sence of humor. Although nothing is as good as thr hair we were born with, I'm glad I made the decision and even wish I had done it years ago! I must say however, that there are aspects of my " new hair" that is better than my natural hair. My natural hair was always very soft and wouldn't hold my style. Also there were cowlicks in the front that made a bad situation even worse. I now have the hair I always wished I was born with. The instant "Apparent" age reduction really enhanced how I feel about taking the plunge. Now that I look younger (people have been guessing my age at 25-I'm 32) I feel as though I was in my 30's. So I thank you and your wonderful staff(who I always look forward to seeing again)!"
